Tech Tip: Browser Bookmarks

Browser bookmarks have always been my friend. I have found it extremely useful to create browser bookmarks to access sites that I visit frequently. On my browser I have four bookmarks. If I have more than four I get a little overwhelmed because I do not like seeing all of them on my browser. Currently I have browser bookmarks for Canvas because I use Canvas for all of my classes and need easy access to it. It is much faster to click one thing instead of typing in the web address. I also have browser bookmarks for my PRSSA GoogleDrive. I am a member of exec. for PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) and I frequently need to access documents for PRSSA so it makes sense to have that as a bookmark. I also have a browser bookmark for the site where I log my hours for Lindsey + Asp. And my final browser bookmark is for Netflix because the quicker I can get access to Netflix the better right?

Week 8 Comments and Feedback

Overall, I would rate the quality of my feedback fairly high. I have been getting great comments about ways that I could clarify or make my stories better and I have also been getting detailed comments about why people like my stories or posts. I am finding the comments that give me suggestions for what else I could do to make my stories better very useful and I have been applying those comments to my stories as well. I think that I would rate the comments that I have been leaving well. Every post I describe what I liked and enjoyed about it and specifically for story comments I leave comments about what I think would be helpful for the writer to clarify for the readers or what I think would be a good idea to add to the story. I have also gotten some great ideas from other people. For example, as I was looking through other people's portfolios I saw a portfolio with a title that I thought was fantastic! I was struggling trying to figure out what to title my portfolio or if I shou...

Week 8 Reading and Writing

Overall, I have really enjoyed Indian Epics. The assignments are time consuming, but I find the reading material interesting so I find myself excited to start the next readings. So far, my favorite readings have been from the Jataka Anthology  because of the fairytale-type mindset of the stories. I have found that my reading notes help a lot for my stories. When I first started doing reading notes I found a way to take notes that really helped me. I try to make at least one or more bullet point per story or episode and connect the characters to each other because the characters in Ramayana and Mahabharata can get confusing and especially how everything is related to something else. I use my reading notes every week to look back and see or remember a character, event, etc. that I really liked or connected with. I use my notes as kind of a case to go off of. Then for the weeks where I decide to plan for a story instead of write a story I do more research on what exact elements I w...
