Indian Epics

This is my last official post for Indian Epics! I have really enjoyed my time in this class this semester and I have recommended many of my friends to take it in future semesters. Indian Epics was a great break from some of my other classes. It has been a very low stress class for me I think because I decided to start the week before classes officially started so I have been a week ahead all semester.  If I were to recommend something to anyone who takes this class in the future I would say "DO THE EXTRA CREDIT!" The extra credit is not only fun, but it is a nice way to reflect on the class and just life in general.  Out of all of the stories I have read throughout the semester I loved the Jataka tales the most. The Jataka tales are something that I will definitely carry away from this class. I loved reading them and how each story had a specific lesson assigned to them. This week I realized how fast the end of the semester is approaching. This semester has seen to fly by. I'm ok and prepared for the end of the semester in a couple of my classes such as Indian Epics because I am ahead but in some of my other classes I'm terrified because I still have so much left to do! So, yes, the end of the semester is so close yet so far away.  Something that I thought I would share this week in my "Famous Last Words" is something that one of my professors has made me realize or rather connected the dots on something I think it really important. My PR research professor has stressed to my class all semester about how it's not about the grades that you get in a class it is about the process of getting those grades. During week 6 of this semester I learned how useful prioritizing tasks my tasks are. This semester has seemed to be a lot more work than I have ever had. This semester marks the first semester of my senior year, which is too crazy to even think about.  For me, it is important to remember that even when I have a busy week and I feel like I am drowning, a simple "To Do" list can help organize my life and make me feel so much better. Normally I make lists every week with what I need to get accomplished every day of the week, but during week 6 it was important that I got everything for the week and weekend completed by Thursday.  On Thursday I had a friend coming in town from six hours away to spend the weekend with me. I knew I was going to be stressed out if I had to think about my homework I was not doing of the homework I needed to get done before week 7.
