This storybook project seems really interesting. I enjoyed reading the creative and engaging ideas that past students have come up with.
The storybook's title "1000 Ways to Die: Demon Edition" instantly stood out to me. I clicked on it and was laughing to myself about how the author of this storybook made it seem like it was really a script from the TV show "1000 Ways to Die." The author of this storybook made me want to continue to read and find out how these Indian Demons died or how they even killed others. This storybook opened my eyes to the possibility and creativeness that I could use on my own storybook.
Another storybook that caught my attention while I was reading through the titles was "Yama's Hair Salon". I immediately was drawn to the way that the author was telling their story. The author did a really good job at balancing the different voices and opinions of the people/characters in her story. I think the introduction did a great job and describing what I would find the stories to come. I continued to read through all of the stories of "Yama's Hair Salon" because I thought it was interesting.
My favorite storybook was "Image.PR: India's highest ranked PR Firm". In the email that I sent to Professor Gibbs with the link to my blog I told her about how I was excited for this course because I enjoy writing. She told me to check out this storybook because I am a PR student. I really enjoyed reading through this project because I thought it was an interesting idea to use for this project.
After reading through quite a few project I found the three that I enjoyed the most out of the ones I read. When I read through "Image.PR: India's highest ranked PR Firm" I instantly thought of an idea that I could use for my own storybook. For my project I could use an event planning company to tell my stories through.
I didn't know anything about the content that these stories were based on but I am ready to learn and start creating my own.

I am glad you looked at such different styles, Chelsea! The idea is that you can experiment with all different kinds of styles in your weekly blog stories, and then for your project, you can do a Storybook with a style that brings the stories together (like in these three projects you looked at) OR you can do a Portfolio where you pick your favorite blog stories and put them together in a collection where you might end up with totally different styles for each story. Either approach can work, and it all depends on what you think will be the best learning experience for you; you'll find out more about that in the project brainstorming that happens in Weeks 2 and 3 coming up! :-)
